Britney Spears threatened to sue a Florida radio station
Lawyers for the "Toxic" singer told WFLZ radio to take down adverts featuring three pictures of the 26-year-old singer bald and snarling.
The singer's legal team claim images of Britney can only be used for promotional purposes with her consent.
A letter was sent to station owners Clear Channel Communications from law firm Lavely and Singer dated June 14.
It read: "Clear Channel was already exposed to substantial liability for its offensive, unauthorized commercial exploitation of my client's photograph on the billboards."
"Once again, we demand the immediate removal of the billboards, confirmed by documentary evidence and verified under penalty of perjury."
The pictures were taken as she attacked a photographer's car with an umbrella, the night before she entered Malibu's Promises rehab facility.
The billboards featured three identical pictures of the singer next to the radio station's logo and a picture of talk show host Todd Schnitt.
Above each picture were the slogans "Total nut jobs," "Shock Therapy," and "Certifiable."
Schnitt revealed Clear Channel have now removed the billboards, adding, "I'm not happy with that."

Paris Hilton made her dad a Father's Day card in prison.
The hotel heiress - who is serving a 45-day jail sentence for driving with a suspended license - surprised father Rick with the homemade card.
Rick and Paris' mother Kathy arrived at California's Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood in a chauffeured car at 7pm on Sunday (06.17.07).
When asked if he was finding this year's Father's Day difficult, he replied: "It's not ideally my best. I feel alright."
Rick and Kathy, who visited Paris for 45 minutes, emerged from the jail holding hands.
Kathy revealed: "Paris is doing well, she's doing very well. She's doing much better. She made Rick a beautiful Father's Day card with his picture."
When asked how Paris was spending her time in prison, Kathy jokingly replied: "She looks at the four walls, and reads some nice fan mail."

Julia Roberts has become a mother for the third time
The "Pretty Woman" star - who is married to cameraman Danny Moder - gave birth to a healthy 8.5lbs boy named Henry Daniel Moder in Los Angeles yesterday (June 18, 2007).
Julia's publicist, Marcy Engelman, said both mother and baby were doing well. She said: "All the Moders are doing great."
The 39-year-old actress already has two-year-old twins, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter with Danny.
Julia, who married Danny in 2002, was delighted when she discovered she was pregnant again.
The Oscar-winning beauty confessed she had almost "giving up hope" of conceiving again after trying for over a year.
She said: "We had almost given up hope. But nature took its course soon after we stopped looking at the calendar and taking temperatures."
Julia previously revealed becoming a mother has helped her grow as a person.
She told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey: "I definitely feel that I've expanded as a human being."
"I have more empathy and more compassion, I think, because I feel so blessed on a level that I can't even wrap my mind around really."

The "Die Hard 4" star, who has three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore, revealed he would love to find another woman to start a family with.
Bruce told Britain's Live magazine: "I would really love a son, or two sons, or three more girls. I just haven't met anybody yet that I want to have kids with."
"But that's the good thing about being a guy - it doesn't matter how old you are."
The 52-year-old actor loves being a bachelor and still feels like he is in his 20s.
He said: "The bachelor thing is terrific. I took a couple of shots at romance and it didn't work out."
"I love women. You know how guys look at women and go 'Ooh, wow!'"
"I'm still that guy. I can't believe I am 52, because in my heart I'm 25. And I do lead a pretty fun life. I get a big kick out of it."
"I can do whatever I want, I only have to answer to about five people. And I get to date women."
